Snowshoeing

Snowshoeing is a cool way to wander around freely in winter.

There are many places in Ylläs where you can try walking with snowshoes. A guided trip is the easiest way to get started, and after that you can go and explore the quiet nature by yourself. The routes are unlimited, as you do not need any trails for snowshoeing. Remember to take along a map, to avoid getting lost.

You can rent snowshoes in ski centres, sporting goods stores and from activities companies. Guided trips are arranged by the ski schools and activities companies of the area.

  Snow Fun Safaris Lapland is a safari company located in Äkäslompolo. We do different kind of guided tours, like snowmobiling, reindeer, husky sleddogs, and snowshoeing. We also rent snowmobiles.
