Skiing
Ylläs has different kind of lift passes which are planned for the families. You can buy for example 6-10 day family ticket when 2 adults pay normal 6-10 day price and children receive 25% discount from 6-10 day price. You can also buy 1 day parent ticket which can be used by both parents. Remember that children under 6 years wearing a helmet and accompanied by an adult are free of charge. Ylläs skiing areas have many lifts and slopes which are good for the children and the beginners. We have gathered into these pages some information about the ski resort services for the families and children.

Lifts and slopes
In the Äkäslompolo side Ylläs-Ski has Perhehissi and Kulkuri which are good button lifts for the children. Slopes around those lifts are very easy and nice for starting the skiing. Lifts like JokeriPokeri, Tenava and Aurinkosompa are button lifts  as well and slopes around those are blue ones (easy). There are also Mattohissi (carpet lift) and Leikkihissi (rope lift) near by the Y1 Service Center. These two lifts are free of charge for all and very good for the youngest children in the family. Next to Tenava lift is also Junior Park for the children and youngsters who want to do some jumps and rails.

Sport Resort Ylläs in Ylläsjärvi side has free Starttimatto and Taikamatto (carpet lifts). These are very popular among the youngest children and beginners.  Vekkuli-, Saaga- and Perhehissi are good lifts for the children and around these lifts are nice blue slopes for the children. One of the children favourite slope is Veikanrinne (6) because there are different kind of funny tracks. Sport Resort Ylläs has also Mountain Dew Junior Park, which is a good place to practice and do first jumps and rails.

Equipments
From the Ylläs ski rentals you can find all the childen equipments for skiing, snowboarding and cross country skiing. They have also children leashes, snowshoes and sleighs.
